Cruisin' for a Cause - Sunnyhill

There is a first time for everything but not everything has as fine a start as the Sunnyhill & Bluffside General Store Car, Truck and Bike Cruise. The event held May 10, Mother’s Day, in Millstadt, Illinois was a hit with about 60 registered participating vehicles, lots of splendid pulled pork sandwiches, bratwurst, hot dogs hamburgers (and well, you name it), along with some wonderful tunes from the D.J. and the Bluz Dawg band afterward.

The setting was perfect with the Bluffside General Store, a fascinating replica reminiscent of days gone by as the featured attraction. Sunnyhill owes a big thank you to Joe Reis who held the event at his home and to his sister (and our board member) Mary Ann Rodenberg. Both worked very hard to make the event a success, and about $7,000 was raised for Sunnyhill.
